The article discusses the results of archaeological-onomastic research carried out for village Nowosielec, Łosice dist., situated in Toczna river basin on northern edge Poland’s Siedlce Upland. Archaeological analyses chronological and spatial development this micro-regional settlement showed oecumene to have been continuously viable from younger phases early Middle Ages modern times. A trace continuity is preserved as very place-name Nowosielec = Nowe Sioło (‘New Village’), which records memory existence an older village.
